in 1806.

At that time she had 5 sons and 3 daughters

Sir Thomas Deane
Sir Thomas Deane
Architect/Builder - Cork City Gaol

The Deane Family are well remembered in Cork for their eminence as architects
and their contribution to the cultural life of the city. Three of them were knighted
for their architectural achievements, and many are well known as artists in their
own right.
Sir Thomas Deane's ancestors were from Aryshire - his Great Grandfather came
to Cork via Kinsale where he held the post of Outdoor Customsman. This man's
son, David married into the already well established Cork building firm of Kearns
and thereafter many of the Deanes descendants joined the architectural
profession.
